What we check

We gauge static and working pressure at the hose bib, then trace the cause through the regulator, main line, and fixture supply.

• Failed or misadjusted pressure reducing valves
• Partially closed or corroded main shutoffs
• Undersized or clogged supply piping
• Scale buildup in aerators and cartridges
• Thermal expansion and missing expansion tanks

Safe pressure targets

Most fixture manufacturers want 50 to 70 psi. Above about 80 psi you are outside code in North Carolina and the system needs a working regulator and, on a closed system, an expansion tank.
