Flame quality is a plumbing problem, not a fixture problem

Most disappointing lanterns are starved or over-fed by an improperly sized line. We calculate the run against your home's total connected BTU load, set the orifice to the fixture manufacturer's spec, and tune the flame height so it burns clean and steady in wind and cold.

Permits, testing, and finish work

New exterior gas piping is permitted and inspected. Buried runs use approved pipe at proper depth with tracer wire and corrosion protection, riser transitions above grade, and a documented pressure test before the lantern is lit. We restore sod, mulch, and hardscape where we trench.

Maintenance and repair

Existing lanterns benefit from an annual cleaning: soot removal, globe and glass service, mantle or burner replacement, orifice cleaning, and a leak check at the fixture valve. We service copper, brass, and painted steel lanterns from all major manufacturers.
